Looking over last years accounts it appears that the club spent just over 7,000 on lighting and heating.
Would it be an option to install solar panels on the roof to reduce the amount of electricity we use.
Regarding heating: could a log burner or biomass boiler be an option?

From what was said at the AGM, the bulk of the electricity bill was for the new cellar cooler, so a biomas / log burner would not help!

Solar panels are an interesting idea, although as I understand it most of the financial benefits are being taken away anytime soon - I guess a properly costed solar installation would be interesting to see, as to what would be the expected KWhrs produced in the summer against usage - we do have quite a lot of roof space that could be used.

One for the new Commodore to have a look at...?
