DISCOVER THE EXCITEMENT AND CHALLENGES OF CREWING ON THE FASTNET RACE FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH MARK SANDERSON.

Club members, Tim Fenton, Mark Sanderson and Simon Ruffles sailed in the Fasnet Race last year, 38 years after the disaster of 1979 when 15 people died during the event.

Mark will tell what it was like to take part in this famous race.

Talk starts at 20:00, and a fork supper at £5 per head (members: £6 per head non-members), will be served in the interval.

The Cruising Association and the Woolverstone Project have got together to organise the one-day event - We Do Mean To Go To Sea - on March 11th at the Royal Hospital School near Ipswich.

The conference will offer attendees a chance to explore a diverse range of cruising destinations, hear entertaining speakers and come away with new skills. If you enter the promotional code of WPPartners this will discount the ticket price to £35 for a single or £60 for two. The ticket price includes a full lunch and snacks and refreshments.[powr-button id="249623ad_1516554344870"]

This meeting is open to any Skippers looking for crew, or any Sailors wanted to crew!

It is structured to allow introductions and for potential plans to be made. The meeting starts at 1030 and lunch will be available from 1200 for anyone wishing to continue planning.

Previous meetings have produced plans for Weekend Sailing, Mile Building, Off-Shore Cruising and even Foreign Passages.

As part of our drive to improve communications in the Club, we have added a new online Forum for members.

The club is pleased to announce that we now have some wonderful PMSC mugs for sale, at the excellent price of just £6.00 each.

They are available for purchase from the clubhouse, so just pop in during opening hours.

Your club committee would like to seek members views to determine if the club is meeting the needs of its members, and has devised a short on-line questionnaire

Could you please complete it by the 28th February.
